Suggested Attire
Dress for the weather and consider layering to be prepared for slightly cooler weather on the lake. Depending on your package, you may want to bring swimwear, a jacket, sun hat, and a hair tie.

Meet Karl W. Sooy
Expect the best with Captain Karl, a seasoned veteran who has logged 200,000+ nautical miles on the Great Lakes and New England’s Coastline. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard, piloting vessels and yachts ranging from 18’ to 60’. While serving in the Coast Guard on the Cutter Sundew, he logged hundreds of miles on the Great Lakes. He also was stationed at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Woods Hole, MA, where he conducted search and rescue and law enforcement missions. This is where Karl further expanded his knowledge of vessel safety, navigation, boat handling, and heavy weather search and rescue. In addition, he obtained his USCG 100-ton Master Captain’s license along with a towing endorsement.
